NOTE: large image cartoon, may take a few moments to load for some.
Really, neither tondoleo nor miles and smiles looks at all like that.
Truly I resent that caricature of my most recent hearing (for trying to hack into fcjapan and jbcarioca's Kiva accounts). I look nothing like that. However my attempt to put bail on one (or more) of my credit cards was a failure. Unfortunately the judge was appalled at my offer of a kickback. I should have consulted tondoleo beforehand so that I would have known the going rate for judge's kickbacks. Alas!
OTOH, tondoleo owed you better legal representation than that, didn't he?
haha! Thanks for sharing!!
Considering all the ways in which we lie to and about each other, how we be anything other than lawyer and client?
We could be husband and husband.
More importantly the cartoon posted by the OP is potentially inaccurate and underlines the toon lawyer's incompetence. A well versed attorney in criminal law will know that his/her client will get their posted bond refunded once the case is resolved if they attend all hearings or do not have the bond revoked for other misbehavior. Once the bond is returned to the client the cc company will rescind the awarding of points. Thus, the lawyer in the cartoon is incompetent. What he should have done is tell his client that he is assuring them maximum earnings of FF miles via cc by charging an exorbitant outrageous legal fee. That, my friends, is being a competent attorney.
Why do you say that? You have never met either of us in person.
define "person". define "...have never met". Just because I am sufficiently wise to avoid conversing with you two miscreants you assume I have not seen you. Untrue. Your successive representations of your erstwhile client have been visible to me, but I have avoiding sullying my reputation by being directly associated with either of you.
That said, I do acknowledge you you have not been disbarred in Florida (can that actually happen there?) nor has M&S been barred or inside bars (the steel incarceration kind rather than the purveyors of liquids kind) AFAIK.
Thus it is barely possible that you are both secretly honorable people.
You've got to be kidding!
Tondoleo and miles and smiles honorable!
Thanks for starting my day with a laugh!
Attorneys do get disbarred in Florida. Usually for stealing client's money or getting convicted for drug crimes. However, they can regain entry into the Bar after being rehabilitated.
I only said it was barely possible, not that it was true. Almost anything is possible. I'm told there was actually a live person who once voted in Florida, for example.
Out of curiosity what is the going rate for rehabilitation in Miami-Dade County?
So, that must be why so many Floridians can be found in Asheville bars. Rehabilitation, eh? Interesting............
The voter's name was Chad.
I am unaware of the rate for rehab in MDC. I suspect it is in cash in non-sequential bills.
So who pays for you?
You make a very compelling argument for not visiting Asheville. Is there a time of year when it is Floridian free?
The only rehab I ever endured was Kiva-hab. It obviously did not work and was a sunk cost.
I have visited Asheville numerous times and never saw it Floridian-free.
This is not the lie thread. 'Fess up!
You need to elevate your cross-examination skills. Try inverse pyramiding.
My cousin, a retired deputy D.A., says
"If he is looking for additional miles, the judge might well properly conclude that he plans to GO somewhere, and is therefore a flight risk, justifying increasing bail. . ."
But, of course, that would mean even more miles...
Very few come here in January.
just like when I return something at a store I ask for store credit or cash, he could ask for it to be refunded in cash and not put back on the credit card.
I might have to go then.
Be sure to let me know, and I'll get the old still fired up.
