A snowstorm piled on significant amounts of snow over the alert system of Milepoint. The red alert flag above the top right border can no longer be seen, leaving thousands of members stranded without a way to recognize valuable post alerts unless they navigate elsewhere within the terminal.

The company's representatives were not available for comment. There is no alternative way for members to cope, so they fill the time thinking of record locator IDs they think might offend someone and how they can exploit it in the media.

I can see my red alert flags even in the snow.

Either yours is melting or I've been snowed in.

FWIW, my red flag/s are also buried! :( I've coped by simply checking the "Alerts" button, that I often do anyway. ;)

But, I do agree with MSYgirl in that Milepoint could use a snowblower to remove that pile of snow! ;)

Otherwise, the motto of the Milepoint snow removal team could be that which is used in the Washington, D.C. metro area for the roads when we have a snowstorm: "watch it melt"!

You can see the red flag as the page loads. It appears before the snowstorm.

IIRC this wan't an issue with MP's winter snow last year. Maybe the 2013 blizzard has been heavy in different places.

Absolutely! I've just returned to the snow-covered DC area after experiencing a 2-day snowstorm in Istanbul.

Is the Milepoint snowstorm part of a new ice age? ;)

Now the snowstorm seems to happen only after you see a page with the red flags. Initially I was disappointed that the snow had all melted, but it reappears in full force when you then go to a new page. Well done!

I think the deicing trucks are running low on deicing fluid.

For what it's worth, this has not been my experience since the flakes began filling the website air.

Yes, it appears that Milepoint contracted to have a snowplow show up and remove some of that pesky snow... ;)
