Seeing the overnight rates at the Mark, this should be in line of what's expected, but the service is surely top notch too. For the rest of us, it's indeed a bubble buster, but we can dream.

I now wonder does the MO NYC also offer such a service @ JFK? Thanks for pointing the MO @ HKG out to us.

Conflicts with the Motel6 concierge I am use to. Usually a guy in the parking lot watching over your car for a quart of beer!

This guy has dreams too, even when it's "only" the next quart of beer. ;)

I'm not aware of that. I remember reading about MO's service at HKG and saw it myself when I arrived from a CX flight.

I can't help but think that -- as long as you're going to an airport where it's offered -- you can probably do just as good with AA Five Star and a car service, and still save some money. Even better if you're traveling solo.

Except the MO service does not speed you through HKG immigration, either inbound or outbound. You have to wait in the same line as everyone else. And outbound, the immigration line is often a much bigger challenge than the line afterwards for security.

And inbound at JFK or EWR, if you have Global Entry, you won't be waiting in much of an immigration line, if any. Outbound, I suspect that once the TSA trusted traveller program is in full effect, the Mark's service won't mean much either.

What do they do in HKG? Just wait in line with you?

There was a time when I managed to overnight in HKG enough to get and keep for a couple of years a HKIA Frequent Visitor card. That most definitely sped us through inbound and outbound immigration.

    Indeed!
