Today i saw global entry at sjc but then realized it just separate line and one still has fill out paper form. You might stay it doesn't have too many international flights but today both ANA and Volaris flight landed at dame time causing big back log.

BTW the custom officials at sjc come across as rude and unfriendly compared to sfo and were checking every bag thru scanner.

There are some kiosk-style machines starting to roll out at many airports which are not GE. Is it possible that's what you saw??

No there were no kiosks seen here. There was just a separate line which was combined for crew/diplomat which might make sense due to limited international flights ( Mexico and japan) with lot of screening for drugs/fruits and illegal activity.

I'll have to check this out on Thursday when I fly SJC-ONT.

I normally use A-List line combined with TSA Pre to zoom through. Is there now a specific GE line?

Global Entry is only relevant for inbound international arrivals. You won't see it on your outbound domestic flight.

Thank you sir for whacking some sense back into my head!

I confirm from my experience this weekend that there are three lines for outbound flights: Clear/Elite Passengers (A-list/ Biz-class), Pre-check, All Else

I was hopeful/delusional that there was all of a sudden a faster way to get through airport security, forgetting that Global Entry is for inbound. =)

If you have GE that should get you in to the PreCheck line. That's about the best one can hope for these days.

Btw, flew ANA NRT-SJC a few weeks ago and GE at SJC is overkill since there weren't that many people going through security anyway. =)
