Siri - more tracking than I previously knew

    This was an interesting read in Wired. Apparently, under the EUA, Apple both records your dialogue with Siri, but also translates it to text - keeps a record of it - and can also cross-reference it with your contact database. :eek:

    I understand there is a little digital footprint left with [all] phone/smartphone devices - but this is too far for my generally flexible taste.

    yes, and many companies and government organizations are now banning the use of Siri. Apple will probably have to implement a "parental control" type lock-out in an upcoming version of the OS in order for some firms to be able to remain compliant. The service is also supposed to get a lot better in the near term though, not sure if that is procession power or processing ENGINE on the part of Nuance.

    I guess they have recorded me many times asking a question and the response that Siri is unavailable. :p
