|| Singapore's SilkAir To Order Up To 68 New Boeing Planes ||
Great news out of Singapore!
Can't say the same for me.. Far be it for me to say, Airbus 319/20/21s have roomier fuselage than the 738/9... And the seating arrangements on airbuses are usually nicer with longer legroom (but I suppose this is the airline's choice, not prefab arrangements).
Yes it is. There are passionate advocates on both sides, of course. As a passenger i prefer the A320 series by a tiny margin because they are somewhat smoother and quieter, as a rule. However, the airline makes much more difference to me than does the airplane. Frankly both can be unpleasant when stuck in a middle Y seat, for example. And both can by quite nice in the larger seats up front. All will change when AA gets the A321 3-class airplane with lieflat seats in both F and C. I think that will then be my new favorite narrowbody airplane.
It depends on where Silkair are going to deploy them. I don't want to see them replacing SQ on routes I'm planning to fly myself.
Unless IMO they start their Star Alliance application soon...
