UA GS isn't going to affect anything for that.

Don't think SQ offers arrivals lounge access but you'd probably want to ask in the SQ forum to double-check.

I don't think SQ ever have arrivals lounge anywhere in the world.

There's no listed arrivals lounge in Sydney airport. SQ's lounge in SYD has showers, but it's a departures lounge, not arrivals.

Yup, they're not like some other airlines that has it. Only departures! Thanks for the confirmation Desamo! :)

There very briefly was an arrivals lounge in SIN but no more. IIRC SQ did invite a few passengers to use it.

At SIN, you can pay to use a contract lounge, the pool, or the transit hotel upon arrival. This is easier if you don't have checked bags.

Why could one not use a SilverKris lounge upon arrival to shower and relax before leaving the terminal if arriving passengers are let out into the general departures area and not channeled to a segregated arrivals part of the terminal? At SIN, you are let out into the main terminal area so it would be easy to use a Silver Kris lounge based on "holding a same day boarding pass" T&C, and I suspect even a "yesterday" boarding pass from an overnight flight would qualify as it does on flights from NAmerica to Europe (and accessing the LHR and FRA Arrivals lounges).

My memory of SYD is that we are channeled away from the departures and if connecting, go through security before being readmitted to the departures area. To get through security you'd need a valid onward international boarding pass, which would be the only way to get back to the SilverKris lounge.

The full T&C is same-day BP for a departure from the airport in which you are attempting to access a lounge. There is no arrivals lounge access as part of *A benefits.

    For biz pax:
    For *G pax:
There's more, but those are the relevant bits in this case.

I've accessed the SilverKris lounges in SIN on arrival with only my arriving boarding pass and no connecting flight until at least the next day on a few occasions and have never had an issue. That said, the last time I did so was about eight months ago, so my sample set may be stale.

If they permit such it is specific to being on SQ metal in an SQ lounge. UA permits the same for the UClubs for BF passengers but it is NOT a *A-mandated benefit.
