There is a rather popular legacy pastime that involves signing one's handle from another frequent flyer site, transcribing various sundry information concerning the date and flight on which the entry was made, and finally, inscribing the name of that other frequent flyer site.

I was wondering if anyone has been signing copies of Hemispheres and transcribing milepoint.com/beta in place of the other site?BTW, I did this today on a DFW-EWR CO flight. I signed next to SMI'J's spiel and for good measure drew a couple of horns on his head. I was torn between drawing horns or a stiffy, but decided horns were the more mature choice of graphic.

Personally, I'm going to stick with the legacy carrier on this one. Don't want to reset my score. [IMG]

Thanks for the reminder. I wanted to start this thread right at
the beginning of the beta, but being elderly and distracted I
didn't do so until just now: I'm proposing that we expand the
custom to other airline magazines as well.

I actually signed my most recent one with both Legacy Carrier and Milepoint.

Luckily I have the same handle. The last times I signed I noted both FT & MP, and then the flight details and my handle.

But when will the MilePoint luggage tag be available so I can add another trinket/flair to my computer bag?

Just wanted to say that I'm still signing the Voices page of Hemispheres thusly:
Helps to have the same handle on both boards. I don't suppose anyone has spotted me yet? I'm 0 for life on FT in terms of having been spotted :( I have spotted a couple other folks, though.

I didn't think about signing my MP handle and just stuck with my other one on my March flights. But, I also added to SMI/J's picture. I allotted him a Rollie Finger's style moustache.

Signed one the other day on a UAExpress flight ex-BUF, CRJ200. However, my memory is so bad I forget the username of the fellow traveler who started the chain by signing the same issue a few days earlier!

I've decided I just don;t have the time to doodle a lot of details, so I've just started drawing a stiffy (upper left facing, like my mp visual) on the SMI/J page and writing in www.milepoint.com.

So how popular has this legacy "game" been? I think I have only been spotted once. I find it ironic since I have a hand in this game. :D

Could have been me? I was on one of those at the end of March...probably among a hundred others who participate. :p

It was fairly popular at the other site. I've only played for the last year or so, and I've been spotted a couple of times, and I've spotted a couple of people. It is kind of fun.

There's another game, too, not that well known, to sign a certain flipchart in the LAX RCC.

I am pleased that this game, albeit on the other site, has been popular. That is the reason I started this game in the first place. It was the Mileage Plus version of the Omni, "Who's the next FlyerTalk member to post", game. That was a fun game. I hope this game takes off here as well. :)

Not sure. I signed a bunch over the weekend listing both sites. No sightings yet that I'm aware of.

It's become part of my pre-flight routine. Sit down, put Kindle and in-flight "grab bag" in seat pocket, take out Hemispheres, sign, plug in headset (when appropriate) sit back and watch the Kettles board :D
