Amazon has a program to support charities through their smile.amazon.com

You can designate your favorite charity, including Kiva, to receive funds every time you make an Amazon purchase. 0.5% of your purchases will go to a designated charity.

Sounds like stocking up on Bob Harris' book would be a win-win.

Yes, I did one, too. Very easy.

I even decided to "share" on my Facebook wall; over the course of a year, Amazon purchases add up.

I wish that Amazon would just leave a cookie so it would know to redirect me to the smile.amazon site. You have to put the address in each time, typing amazon.com will bring you to the regular page and no credit given.

Those are the rules but it's little different than needing to go to a mileage mall portal for pretty much every other internet vendor. Probably could even edit the host file to send users on your network to smile.amazon.com automatically when entering amazon.com ;)

As an FYI - if you put items into your amazon.com cart and then remember to head over to smile.amazon.com, the website does remember and still gives the acknowledgement of supporting Kiva.

As an FYI for those who use AmazonSmile - I received an e-mail where Amazon will donate an extra $5 to Kiva (or your favorite charity) by making another order before the end of the year, in addition to the normal 0.5%. Given I have multiple Amazon orders per week anyway, that was an easy way to kick the organization an extra $5.
