To anyone who has not been to Puerto Rico, San Juan is not a glorious beach desitination like Miami's South Beach, the real beauty of Puerto Rico is outside of San Juan. That said, I've always had a fun time in San Juan.

I stay at this property if I need a stay or I'm going to spend a day/night in Old San Juan. The location is very close walking distance to some good restaurants.

There is a casino inside. By the way I have 4 $5 match play coupons that I'll be happy to mail someone if you are staying at this property.

Seeing as breakfast is not free for SPG elites, for breakfast I now walk the 5 blocks to La Bombonera on Calle San Francisco is a sit-down bakery/cafeteria, and get a mallorca which is a delicious way to start your day in Puerto Rico. Jamon/queso is my fave. A mallorca is: http://thenoshery.com/2009/08/19/mallorca/

There is a small rooftop pool that can get crowded.

As a plat I've normally be upgraded to a 1br suite.

Overall, the property is ok, I would NOT stay here for my entire stay while on Puerto Rico.

We enjoy Old San Juan and have found this to be a nice property to stay at for a few days of exploring, eating & relaxing.

Not the greatest, but not bad. Just keep you expectations in check (ie: our [government at the time] rate included breakfast for one, but one two???) We had a nice upgrade to a suite and it's well located for walking around town.

    Cheers,
