This Sheraton is not located near either the uptown arts and entertainment area nor the downtown business district. It is, however, on the light rail line that connects downtown with the airport and Mall of America. The hotel is also connected to the Midtown Global Market, an interesting array of ethnic food vendors. Complimentary shuttle service is offered, IIRC up to five miles. It's a pretty standard Sheraton and is one of the ones that was refreshed several years ago. The lobby is attractive and features the usual business center. Rooms look like the rooms in many other Sheratons. Service is generally good. Perhaps the aspect that potential guests need to be know is that parking is in a public garage and it may be difficult for high profile vehicles to approach the hotel's front entrance, where even taxis must go through a gate. IMO this is a marginal urban area. Personally, I would not park a car on the street overnight here, nor walk outside of the hotel after dark, nor wait alone for a light rail train, especially at night. Perhaps this warning represents unwarranted caution and I'm sure not everyone would agree. YMMV.
