$90M update to be rolled out floor by floor in this 1371 room hotel (2 new rooms will be added also) over the next year.

Refurbishments will include wall-mounted 50” flat panel televisions, new bathrooms (low-flow toilets, shower heads, and faucets), upgraded Wi-Fi, energy efficient windows.

Floors will be closed off in stages as workers overhaul 180 to 250 rooms at a time.

The replacements will reduce energy consumption by 20% and water flow by 30%.

No mention of changing the dated beds and furniture.

Yay natural resource conservation. It will save the hotel money in the long run, and help the environment!

construction is going on at the moment.

Club floors have been relocated to 25-31st floor, so looks like they are moving downwards. Lounge on 43rd is still open.
One thing I forgot about this hotel was the bathroom ventilation - it sounds like a wind tunnel.
