Seychelles. Often considered the most beautiful islands in the world. Located a thousand miles east of Mombassa. A population under 80,000 but several World Heritage sites welcome visitors including the Valle de Mai (the original Eden) and Aldabra Atoll.

We start with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. First up, Anse Source d'Argent on La Digue Island.

Then there is Anse Patates, also on La Digue

    Picard Beach is a favorite:

Or just some remote beaches on Mahe

Or if you are into sunsets.......

Assomption Island cannot be beat (unretouched photos!):

    Or nearby Aldabra:

    Astove Island

or, closer into the population centers, North Island:

And the many upscale hotels are over the top. Two of my favorites are Lemuria and the Banyan Tree. First, Lemuria:

    And Banyan Tree:

Absolutely. And to think I was alone at the time and without liquid refreshment. The second one (orange) couldn't be photographed in its total glory without a really wide fisheye. The color covered about 75% of the sky. Here's a landscape shot a few minutes prior.

Just a small correction: Anse Source d'Argent is on the island of La Digue.

Yes, of course. Dumb error for someone who's been there a dozen times!
