    Hey All,

You may have noticed some down time this saturday. There was a MySQL Error than Ran amuck. The error has been resolved! On a positive note; the error ended up resolving other issues with some server errors that have been occurring as of late as it allowed a repair to run before the site was brought back up..

Server down -- yuck. Glad you got it back up quickly and improved. I actually had to spend time talking with live people. It wasn't bad -- I might try it again in a couple of weeks. :p

Sever down? Eh the communications sure got severed, that is for sure :)

Now, things were down almost 12 hours, how long did the table repairs take?
I know that it impacted BA and other DBs as well, so it seems the backend DB is right now shared among all those, if the repair took almost 12 hours, I think it may be time to move away from those AWS instances, that is pathetically slow! I realize the DBs may be big, but that is a very long time. Maybe too, time to look at splitting the load across multiple instances, if it is desired to only be on AWS :)

You speak in code. Hopefully those intended to know, will understand.

I have one travel related database still down (www.elliott.org). Wonder if its issues are related.

Any chance during future outages updates could be provided via Twitter? @milepoint was dead silent.
