Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels in Seoul in the US $80-100/night range? I'm not at all familiar with the city, but we're trying to stay in Gang Nam.

    Any advice is appreciated!

The 6015 bus runs to Myeongdong. I was just there, though not at the Ibis, and took the A'REX to Seoul Station then transferred to the 4 line to Myeongdong. I had wanted to try the train, but it's not the easiest way to go.

Stayed at the Novotel in Gangnam for a week last May. Got it for about $65 a night during the Accor sale (coming up soon I think). Hotel was great value for the price although no breakfast included. Location is right next to the Ritz and there is a subway station just down the street. They're extending the subway line, so there is a lot of construction towards COEX. The airport bus also stops at the Novotel, so it's very convenient to and from ICN. Near COEX the Ibis gets good reviews on tripadvisor and you could probably get the Intercontinental or Grand at reduced prices through the ICH friends and family discount.

Priceline is a good option, I got the Rennaissance for $72 per night, but the area is very commerical. I agree with edison's comment above about the Ibis in the Myeongdong area which is a much better area for tourists.
