    Damn it!

    WT*?

Seriously, this isn't even funny. Sitting here waiting for an inspector to come to the deserted US preclearance thing in YYC.

Happened a week ago coming in from FRA too! grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I don't like how you have to go up to an agent in YYC for NEXUS...seems to defeat the purpose of NEXUS...

That sucks. :( But don't they have strict rules against using electronics in the preclearance area? [IMG]

No, even chocolates were fine! ;)
And there was NO-ONE there for about 15 minutes.... So I called a friend, was on MP, did some good stuff! :)
Now in the YYC transborder Servisair lounge - not bad!

I have been sent to secondary in the US preclearance area at YYC 3 times in the past few months using Nexus. Last time was about 3 weeks ago and the officer mentioned to me that I was the 4th person in the past 10 mins and about 20 people had been sent to secondary since opening about 2 hrs before I got there!

Coming into Canada I have been sent a few times also. I have definitely been sent to secondary far more often than ever before without Nexus.

What is up with that? :)
    Which machine did you use?
The one that's first up, or the one closer to the desk?

It happens, you suck it up and move on. It is not the end of the world.

  9. same here the first year with Nexus I was thinking it was not a good idea... When I update my passport info within 2 flights you will be pulled for a "check" and since i fill passports quickly that gives them a reason to pull me over once a year. Glad I have two passports.

If all you get is pulled over once a year, that is no big deal. Would you rather stand in the masses line instead? ;)

At YYC you use a machine and talk to an agent? Really?

Yup. Special line-up for crew/NEXUS though (meaning that there never is a line-up).

So you get your Nexus card at the machine, then show the card to the agent? I guess not exactly trusted traveler!

That makes no sense - do not need to do that in YYZ. Use the kiosk, and walk right by the agent and out of the area.

    Well, here's my story.
YYC-SFO delayed 3 hours, meaning that we'd miss our CNX to PSP. Nothing into PSP! :( So we're flying DEN-ONT. Sigh... AC Concierge was fantastic, though!
Please console me by liking me! ;) :(

I'll give you a "Like" because it sounds like you probably spent more than 10 minutes in secondary. [IMG] If its any consolation, I got 3 secondaries in a row. the third time, I walked straight into the secondary office instead of going past the officer -- he tried to call me back, but I told him I got a secondary card and he waved me on.
