The Megabonus ended April 30th, and most here likely were expecting credit for their stay at the SEA Marriott, in order to get the right credits for the Megabonus. My stay did not credit and I have spoken to both Marriott Rewards and accounting at the hotel. Since we were booked at a Group rate - the hotel considers this a situation where the Group is paying for all rooms - not individuals - even though we each paid separately. I suspose the presenters had their room paid from the Group - hence the reason for the hold up. The hotel has to reconcile the stays at the group rate to release them to Marriott rewards, even though we paid separately. The hotel accounting says this is a glitch in the system. The net is - they should be releasing our rooms from hotel system later this week. But you may have to call Marriott Rewards if they already cleared your Megabonus, which ended April 30th. The hotel accountant indicated others have been calling as well.
Thanks Cova, I have been watching my Marriott account for this very reason and need this stay for my megabonus as well. I will give them the rest of this week and call if not there by next week.
Thanks Cova. This same thing happened on SMD5 for the Marriott SFO. I finally had to call them to get it posted.
I called Marriott rewards as a platinum and they told me to wait the full ten days (3 days from now) and if the stay and megabonus night (I had another stay in March) don't post call them back. Why they couldnt take care of it today I don't know. I really liked the Hyatt hotel used for Frequent Traveler University Tampa--I wish FTU would go back to Hyatts.
Mine have not posted yet either. I just called and left a message with Accounting at the SEA Marriott. As a Hyatt aficionado, I agree with Silver Springer.
An FYI - Marriott has fixed my account and properly credited me for the stay plus the Megabonus today.
