Scottish rebels are setting clandestine traps for the Americans; once trapped, the poor Yank is helpless. The can only sit in terror in their small cages, waiting for the Scots rebel gunman who comes and kills them with a single shot to the head. The insurgents claim they are acting on behalf of Ratty, the stubborn water vole from The Wind in the Willows. Their propoganda minister keeps releasing statements justifying the terror campaign, claiming the Americans are destroying the vole, salmon, and other native creatures. In this statement on one of the insurgent websites, they call the Americans "invasive predators" who must be removed. Once they have succeeded in killing or driving off all the Americans, these bloodthirsty Scots intent to expand their campaign throughtout the British Isles.
This is only payback for even the most useless of Americans being able to easily seduce Scottish women. The ease at which Scottish women succumb to American charms was mocked in reverse by the English in the movie "Love Actually" where the character Colin flies to Milwaukee and manages to seduce the only four attractive women in the city of Milwaukee in one bar visit.
