I guess, it was only a question of time, it's all about money, and yes, they're still people out there who simply " love " resort fees! ;)

Not a surprising move at all.

What it I don't want to use any of the services? I can't say no...it's false advertising requiring me to pay an additional fee outside the room rate for amenities I won't use. If only some government entity stood against these crazy fees for once.

.....but Caesars was for years against resort fees and even compiled a whole marketing campaign on this theme. So overall, while it wasn't a surprise for Vegas as a whole, for Caesars it "maybe" is.

That's one area in need of some sort of regulation. It's simply not good to "enforce" such "resort" fees without any choices nor merit on the usage by the guest of such services offered by the hotel. I would support regulation here, this could actually help for once the guest / consumer.

Very true with the marketing campaign and having lived/worked in Vegas I saw it all. However, I'm sure CET executives were anxious to start the resort fees since they were losing out on a lot of "free money" that could go to their capex budget.
