Cool. Googled (er, actually Binged?) "retro continental livery" and this was the first result.
This was the plane we were lucky enough to enjoy on the SMD3 charter trip. I thought it was a nice touch!
Doesn't UA have a retro livery plane flying right now, too? I thought I saw one - either an A320 or B757.
I see the AS (Alaska Airlines) 75 year anniversary plane all the time, including today, at SEA.
OMG! Your plane went back in time and landed in EWR circa 1970! Don't forget to invest in Yahoo.
Yes, it is an A320 (N475UA). Here it is at United Family Day 2011:
Both the CO and UA retrojets were featured at the United Family Day 2011:
I like what US does and put all of their retro livery's from the airlines that all formed the current US (alleghaney, Piedmont, PSA, America West) has a nice nostalgia to it.
It really could be from that picture, couldn't it? What a lovely winter day in New York...
I completely love retro livery planes.
I'd dig a PSA one, especially with the pink-and-orange (and fake woodgrain) interior.
