    They were talking about 700 endangered jobs, but according to the new savingsplan 600 pilots will be asked to work part-time the next 2 years.
    The trade union is still concerned about the employees (BA would have 80 pilots too many)

    Towards the end of november, the negotiations should be done because BA wants to launch a new longhaul flight and therefore there has to be an agreement.

    The trade union wants Lufthansa to deliver their promised investments (BA will receive 100 million euros to work on their long-haulflights strategies; this will only be received if there will be an agreement on the savings plan).

    Based on the current projections, BA predicts a 50 million euro loss (last year 79 million loss). According to Etienne Davignon caused by increasing of kerosene and the economical crises.

    Further, there is an unbalance between the short-haul (European network) and long-haulflights. Short haul flight are more sensible to seasonal fluctuations. They predict a decrease of 5-8% starting next summer.
