Sorry, I should have inserted a rolled eyes in that post. It was total sarcasm. One country I'm pretty sure I won't ever visit unless my work makes me go. My old boss had to go once. Not an experience I am looking forward to.

Me too. I once had the opportunity to go for business and I got as far as looking at their visa requirements and application forms. No thanks.

This is really only of interest to me because now maybe I can unload my 11K-ish SV miles I earned flying LHR-RUH-LHR in J a bit over a year ago. Of course, I have no idea what their award chart will look like, so it's possible that I'll find they don't allow one-way awards on partners and 11K miles buys nothing.

Don't forget if you have your passport stamped in Israel before you enter there "they will let you in with open arms"

Still, a one way segment that you need would be a fortunate use of orphaned miles.

Fortunately, the Israelis understand this and will gladly not stamp your passport. Of all the people I've told about visiting KSA, Israelis are always the most interested in hearing lots of details. I suppose that's what happens when you're so close to a country that will not let you visit for any reason.
