    I signed up today for the Entertainment Package of $29 per month. Will stay for 2 years till TimeWarner Cable gives me a good deal to return.

    I am in the market to sign up for cable/satellite TV service. Other than the above mentioned one, any mileage offers out there?

    I believe I list them all on my website below in the Buying Stuff > Other Shopping Loyalty Programs > Satellite TV Service section. The AA 25K offer described above was extended.

    Just did this recently. Really liking DirecTV so far, and excited for another 25k AA miles to post within a couple months.

    You believe correctly ... just signed on with Dish's 5K US Airways miles promo going through your website. 290 channels (including all premiums free for the first 3 months) for around $40 plus tax a month for the first 12 months with a 24-months contract.
    I already did this a while back when it was 10K AA miles. I asked for the 15K miles difference and was told that it couldn't be done. I am through with their contract and wanted change as they increased my monthly bill by 30% without any additional benefits.

    That's a massive increase. I hope mine doesn't jump like that. But I guess I still have almost 2 years before I find out.

    so the deal is this (for my area...it might different for L.A.)....$29.99 /mth...basic package with HD.......(and here is where they nickel n dime ya)....additional charge for HD receiver, (even if you already have an HD receiver that works..they wouldnt let me use it)....additional charge for HD equipment (standard dish wasn't good enuff, so they have to install an 'HD' dish)...so, after all the fees, it came to almost $40.00. I called Comcast and they were able to offer me the same HD content, for $29.99 with no additional fees....( didn't get Comcast, but just wanted to see a comparison).

    Yea, but the contract is for 24 months, so basically if you pay $10 extra a month that will be a total of $240 per contract life but you will get 25K AA miles. I know that you might feel bad that they are trying to screw you, but the ultimate goal here is the miles. :)

    How many miles Comcast is giving you for $30/month?

    yeah I totally agree with you bro--i mean , if you are in the market for toob, then this is the way to go. I guess Im jsut happy with my FTA dish, and free tv using rabbit ears :D...............with Comcast, I would be getting $30.00 x 5 (Use INK Card) for a total of $1800 Ultimate Reward points a year

    I suppose one could always sign a new contract in his wife's name., they seem to be aggressive looking for new coustomers.
