Interesting move by SAS, from the sales portal:
So fares can be constructed with VX or AA metal, right? Not all that uncommon to offer such from non-alliance partners. UA allows BA metal on LHR-CPH and prioritizes it over SK metal in search results online if you try to buy EWR-CPH on the UA site, for example.
Correct. Not that uncommon, but interesting that VX is a new partner. Many Scandinavians looked at VX or B6 as potential partners for DY (Norwegian) who just opened JFK and soon will add FLL from ARN and OSL
Yes, but so far Norwegian doesn't seem to eager to partner up with anyone
