Ryanair is to add a £6 per person per flight admin fee for Cash Passport prepaid card customers, a year after introducing the card as a way to avoid surcharges imposed when booking flights with other cards.

The airline was forced to be transparent about surcharges imposed when flights were paid for with a debit card, following a supercomplaint to ban rip off surcharges lodged by Which? with the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).

As a result of the supercomplaint, companies are obliged to show surcharges clearly in the headline price so customers can more easily make comparisons. Any surcharge should also be a genuine reflection of the low cost of processing the payment.

Amazing, at first they bring in this card to avoid extra charges and now, they charge for the same card which should be used in the first place to avoid charges, I guess, that's Ryanair. No trust in this airline, this should be the only reaction and of course avoidance at all costs.
