Check the date. It's a three year old news item was nothing other than a typical O'Leary publicity stunt. The airline however is planning to cut the number of lavs on its new planes in order to get in an extra 3-6 seats.
delta to takeover northwest?
My mistake. The way it was positioned on the BBC Site made it seem like a new item based on their original announcement some time back.
It may be out of date, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they try it. It's Ryanair, for Pete's sake.
WN did that I think. On their 737-500 in the back it's just two lavs, no front lav. The rear lavs are absolutely tiny...I'm 6'3 and I can't even close the door of the lav without contorting my body.
Keep in mind that O'Leary will say anything to get free press coverage. The more outrageous the better.
Maybe they have coffee mugs you can use.
