    From today's Apple Daily

    http://www1.hk.apple.nextmedia.com/...p?iss_id=20110805&sec_id=4104&art_id=15495370

Recently there's a leaked photo of a female giving a foreign pilot a fellatio in a cockpit when it's flying. The female dressed in a uniform that looks like CX FA uniform. According to the source, the pilot has asked the police for help [edit: because photos are leaked without his permission]. CX confirms that they have heard about it and will investigate.

And they said the FA in the picture is the flight purser and she's wearing the new CX uniform. So they believe the photo was taken recently.

CX has looked at the photos but since the photos are in poor quality, CX could not confirm whether the uniform is a CX one nor whether it's a CX cockpit. But they will follow up.

Does it matter that the pilot is "foreign"? Would he have a different type of contract or could he lose his visa/work permit over this?

What sort of help can the pilot expect from the (Hong Kong?) police? This suggests that the police know who the pilot is, but does CX?

If it happened in flight, wouldn't there normally be a copilot in the cockpit (no pun intended) except for very brief periods, maybe with an exception if the purser is also a certified pilot?

I just translate the "foreign" part directly from the report...I don't think it really matters

According to the newspaper, it looks like the pilot took the pictures himself. Someone looked at it from the computer or camera screen, then take a picture of the screen and shared it through whatsapp. So the pictures are "stolen".

Yes, normally there is. I was reading a second article. It says during a regional flight, there are usually only 2 pilots. If one of them have to go to the bathroom, they will ask a flight attendant to take the pilot's place. It can be any FA. In case of emergency, the FA can do some help or just go to the bathroom to get the other pilot back.

CX puts a FA in the cockpit when one of the two pilots goes to the bathroom? That doesn't seem to be the practice on USA legacy carriers that apparently will fly with just a single pilot up there briefly during flight on planes and routes that are staffed with just a pilot and co-pilot. Similarly, on RJs, the few times that I see a pilot leaving the cockpit, the FA doesn't go in as on some planes that would mean no FA at all for the passengers.

If the pilot really took the pictures himself and was looking at them on a computer when someone else was around, he should probably be fired for stupidity and poor judgment for that, not for any sex act with a fellow employee.

It doesn't specifically mentioned CX. That's what a senior FA said. I am assuming this only happens if the pilot needs to have a #2 and might take quite some time...

Both of them should be fired if the rumor is true. Although the auto-pilot is on, they still need to monitor other things. They are putting the entire flight in danger if they have sex in the cockpit (oh that's not sex according to Clinton)...

I am confused by the picture!
    1) Is that pilot in uniform? Looks like he is wearing a sweater.
    2) How on earth did that picture get taken by him, the angle is much farther than an arm's reach
    3) Is the pilot filing a complaint? His body position looks passive and not someone who is unappreciative of the <ahem> attention.

I'm confused by where they found space in the cockpit for the alleged activities. If he's in the pilot's seat, the yoke and other controls would apparently get in the way. Also, as the sole pilot, he should stay within reach on the controls in case an alarm goes off, even if the plane is on autopilot; ideally he should be able to monitor the instrument indicators and readings.

I assumed that the person is the foreground was the FA, with a red uniform sleeve; apparently she has brown hair (that doesn't eliminate many CX FAs) with bangs.

that's what make it so dangerous if the alleged activities happened during the flight.

The FA needs to be quite flexible to perform such activities in the tiny cockpit...I guess the pilot can put a camera there to take a video or use the self timer to take pictures?

So is that a passenger instead of pilot :p

He's filing a complaint because the photos have been leaked without his permission

How did the passenger get into the cockpit, especially during flight? Where were the pilots?

If it's a passenger, this must have been staged on the ground with the cooperation of other crewmembers, not just the purser who participated.

It's still incredibly bad judgment on the part of any employee who participated, facilitated, or acquiesced.

I was just joking about that being the passenger

Either way, it's an extremely bad call for taking pictures with your uniform on like this, esp if you are actually flying the plane!

But a pilot, especially for an airline like CX, wouldn't normally change from his uniform to a grey sweater during a flight. If he did in order for the <ahem> activities to take place while he was not wearing his uniform, then the activities were premeditated, which makes the bad judgment even worse.

If it were SQ, I wonder whether anyone could be caned?

That part of the story is really confusing, unless the photos are fake/photoshop and he's being blackmailed.

even still, asking for police help would seem to just put him in a worse position, since he's now admitting to the act.

I don't know about other carriers, but it seems common practice with UA at least to have an FA go into the cockpit when a pilot leaves for the lav (on two-pilot flights).

Don't know if I have ever seen it on RJs.

Didn't this thread start its life on MP in the Cathay forum? How did it move to Newsstand? Maybe it belongs in Private, given the nature of the discussion.

BTW, would the alleged activities make the participants associate members of the mile high club?
