I've just finished booking a RTW for my wife and myself, and the Oneworld on-line tool actually worked, start to finish. To me at least, this is noteworthy because the last time I tried this (about a year ago), the tool worked great for planning, but when I tried to purchase the tickets, it failed with strange internal errors, and I wound up having to call the AA RTW desk to book the tickets.

This time, I was able to book the ticket completely on-line! Very cool.

Ok you have my interest. Where would I find this tool that you are worshipping so I can take a look and have a bit of a play?

www.oneworld.com It is the round the world itinerary planner and is near the center of the page on the left.

I seriously don't know how I would ever plan a RTW without it.

Would you mind mentioning your route and first carrier (or ticketing carrier?)

First carrier is AA, and our RTW route is MCO-LAX-SYD-DRW-MEL-ADL-SYD-SIN-HKG-LHR-LAX

DRW-MEL is a surface segment (actually being flown on Qantas on a separate ticket). And our final return (LAX-MCO) will also be outside the RTW.
