    His work lives on, but we've lost all he could have given us in the future. Sad.

    A tragic waste of one's future. It still amazes me how many people throw their lives away on drug and alcohol use. For all those people who want to legalize drug use ( I don't mean marijuana ), this is just one more reason to never allow such insanity. Hopefully the publicity of his death will stop some from starting a habit they can't break.

    Some have worse demons in their lives. (not saying it is right but walk a mile in their shoes...)

    It is rare that I care when a Hollywood star passes (i.e. I was amazed (& puzzled) at the outpouring for the recently departed actor Paul Walker (Fast & Furious fame)). Phillip Seymour Hoffman was a true acting treasure, so sorry to see him go.
