This is just crazy! Avis is offering 3000 American Airlines miles per rental or 114 miles/Dollar. The more you rent, the more it goes up!
    Here’s how to get in:
Step 1: Go to avis.com and find your closest airport
Step 2: Enter Code: MUAA035 in the coupon code section
Step 3: Select a subcompact for 1 day.
Step 4: make 6 separate reservations for the same car by August 31st.
Step 5: complete rentals and get 18,000 Points!
I was able to find AMAZINGLY cheap rentals at the Burbank Airport. ($15.99/Day)
Avis Rental at $26/Day For 3000 AA Points!

If we calculate that out, for $157 (6 Rentals at $26 with taxes), I’m going to be getting 18,000 points! that’s 114 points/dollar.
The key is to make them all separate! don’t put all 6 as consecutive days on the same reservation.
My Recommendation is to take a friend and book 2 cars each day under your account. This expires August 31st, so rent two sub compacts per day and make the other person an additional driver! 12 rentals= 36,000 points! $312 gets you 36,000 points!
In comparison, American Airlines charges 2.5 Cents to buy their points outright. With this, it’s less than 1 cent!
AA Charges $29 per 1000 Miles so for 36,000, it would cost you $1,044!
9 separate rentals gets you a saver ticket around the U.S
12 Rentals gets you a one-way to Asia!
This Expires August 31st! Get on it!

Indeed... still, now that it works and I select JFK I get $92 as the cheapest car of course -- which is why I never rent from Avis in NY. :)

price for 1 day rental is ridiculously high for subcompact ( 60~70) at BUR, SNA or LGB. Did I miss the thing? Thanks

No, it's not high if you select saturday-sunday. Weekdays are horrible, weekends are really good!

Best bet to actually get your points is to give it to them when renting. Never went bad for me!

It certainly has gone bad for me. I have received the actual miles from US, but not the bonus miles. Avis claims they sent them to US, US claims they don't know nothing. Avis then says "wait 3 months".

NYC is badass like that. FLL is $32 if you prepay so that's not bad.

You can bring down down a couple of bucks if you use AWD K817165 like was mentioned earlier on the site.

It's not over until the fat coon sings. End of Aug will be three months and I'll start hassling them again.

Don't remind me of topcashback. They never posted my Avis rental either. Not going to bother with that anymore.

For the NYers Islip airport looks pretty reasonable... ISP. Don't know if it is worth the trip but far cheaper than JFK.

Try and find any Avis car in Australia for under $75ish a day and you're doing well (weekends here are always more expensive than weekdays too).
