It saves clicks to be able to jump to another Forum by a "Forum Jump" feature. Can that be put in.

Two options. You can click "forums" in the "bread crumb" menu bar at the top and bottom of the screen. Or you can click the little blue diagonal arrow at the right side of each of those two bars.
That will launch the quick nav menu.

Still too cumbersome as opposed to a direct jump.

Yes. I prefer the forum link; the quick nav is slow to launch.
A simple dropdown list is much faster.

I click on the URL bar in Firefox, type "/air" or "/beta" or "/off" etc, the browser brings up my usual forum as the first suggestion, I click on it. Two clicks, four keys on the keyboard, practically no delay at all.

Not everybody will like this method (especially people without real keyboards) but for me it's so fast that I don't miss the forum jump at all. And I rarely use bookmarks, either. (I find the URL search most effective and responsive in Firefox, IE8 is close, Chrome is far slower than the other two.)

First, not everybody uses Firefox. Second, those are just excuses for not having a feature that many sites have.

First, the feature is also in Chrome and IE8 (don't know about Safari).

Second, I made no excuses, I simply said that I personally do not miss this. Maybe someone else might find might find that this technique works for them, too. But you did notice that I said "not everybody will like this method," right?

Don't mean to be offensive, I HAVE to use IE when I am at work, because that is what I have to use. I realize you are trying to be helpful, but giving me a work-around that is useless for me just kind of frustrated me.

You do realize that IE8 has the built-in URL search as well, right? (I can't remember whether IE7 had the same.)

I noticed the thread title says [Resolved]. What's with that? How is it resolved?

Wondering too how this is resolved... I would really like a lightweight forum-jump.
