I see quite a lot of information on what the rules are when you are actually en-route and a schedule change occurs, but can't seem to find a good listing of the change policies for a future schedule change (i.e. I have been notified of a change on an existing ticket in advance). Seems like different carriers have varying limits on how long you may be delayed before they will grant you a free change in advance.

Does this exist anywhere, or any search terms that I can look for?

You basically need to read the Contract of Carriage for the airline in question; the policy is generally spelled out somewhere in there. And then remember that agents can be more generous than the absolute limits listed.
