    I have no idea who these people are, but I got this offer directly from US Airways today. I'm assuming that this will probably end up with other carriers as well, but I guess we'll see.

    Not sure how the process works or what kind of deals you get, but I suppose it MIGHT be an easy 500 (or more) miles.

    The email had my DM # on it and all and originated with US, but it doesn't appear to be targeted. The link to "follow" US Airways was this:

    I've worked with a couple other companies trying to set up similar shopping infrastructures. The concept mostly makes sense to me but I never saw an application where the product being sold was something I thought would be useful/rational to distribute via that method.

    One problem for many online purchase markets for the airlines is that the products often are more pricey or aren't as good a quality as what you can buy elsewhere. And most all airlines would rather you use your miles to buy tsotchkes than to use them for flying with them! ;)
