I would like to get a record of all the United flights I have taken/bought in my lifetime. Is this something that customer service could pull for me easily? Or is it such a hassle that they won't do it?

Has anyone else done this before?

Ideally, I'd like my FlightMemory.com account to match my real life flights -- I used to fly a lot of VS, CX, SQ, and BA, but I'll settle for just getting my UA flights up there.

Contact MileagePlus and they should be able to do a full dump of your flight history.

You're looking for a "purge data print". There's a lengthy FlyerTalk thread about it. United Mileage Plus Customer Service can mail one to you, although there have been reports that you need a cooperative agent or a compelling reason ("We're organizing a retirement party", "We need evidence to introduce in court", etc.)

Thanks for the info. Going through the FT thread -- and trying to think of a compelling reason other than "I want to populate my Flightmemory.com"

Haha, I read in the other forum that people using that excuse have been denied -- apparently a lot of people in October of this year requested, and all were denied, and UA cited a policy that they would only print archive copies pursuant to court order. I sent an email to 1KVoice earlier today with a generic request (no reason given) and will see what they say.

They should all move to the EU, and then they would have a legal right to access that information.

I used a vague legal justification when I requested it about three years ago and received it about two months later. By that time I had already forgotten about the request.

I can see that a sudden influx of requests is going to make them become more restrictive...

That is the exact reason I gave them when I requested the info. I can't remember if I contacted them via phone or email but they mailed me a huge packet that contained the print-out within a few days.

Earlier this year (spring maybe). I also requested my husband's info around Sept.

Yeah, according to the other forum, people started running into trouble in October of this year. We'll see what they say though!

You can also try the "Email MileagePlus" function on .bomb. I did that last year in Oct and I received my data purge in two weeks.

Numerous agents have said no via the phone since I've been asking (early Nov).

    Success!!

"We have received your request for purged data and have processed this request, please allow 7-10 business days to receive this information."

Submitted a few weeks ago via the website contact form (after no-joy with 1kvoice@united.com)

I'll post when I receive the packet.

Got the packet today! Unlike others on this board who have flown considerably more miles, my print out was far less impressive (weight-wise). Still, it's nice to know that my first ever flight on United was HKG-SFO, back in April, 1993.

What was the website link you used? Just the general MP request page?

Yeah, just the general MP request page. You need to have some sort of valid reason.
