For a high fare customer they're a solid B/B+, especially if you're in NYC or Boston. It was better when they had the GoBig bonuses which aggressively rewarded high spend but that disappeared earlier this year.

For a low fare customer they're around a C/C-. The variable redemption rates can be good in some circumstances and bad in others. But it is still hard to extract a ton of value from the program.

Limited partner earning/redemption and route network further hinder the program.

If your stuck flying to florida during vacations (and stuck with a high fare), then they are good good B/B+. Otherwise they are average (above Delta but below UA). It is easier to pick up points while flying the airline instead of using the credit card (as I do with UA/AA) which actually makes sense but makes it harder to earn miles.
