how come at the end of the survey, the final page says "Than" instead of "Thanks", or was that just my browser?

The results of this survey really won't really be meaningful to business decision-makers because of how participation is being sought.

Some of the multiple choice questions didn't seem to give enough choices in that there was an implicit assumption that using miles for business travel is necessarily a new rather than long-standing policy.

Same here too. Final page says "THAN". A bit strange.

I would really be unhappy if my company did something like that. Frankly, if I couldn't use the points/miles, I would not let them use my frequent flyer account number.

But then you would lose your elite benefits and the travel you do for business would be even worse for you.

Sorry, I just corrected an unfortunate typo in my post.

If you need business travel to achieve elite status, not using a FF number means you do not become elite, which has advantages when you travel even if you can't benefit from the miles earned: elite lines, better seats, free upgrades, free or better lounge access, an board privileges such as free drinks/snacks or first meal choice, early boarding or elite lines for boarding, etc. Even without the possibility of free flights, these privileges benefit you when you travel for business or pleasure. If you don't need the business travel credits to achieve your elite status, not using your FF number on the PNR will keep you from benefiting from most of these advantages, although your FF card alone can result in some privileges such as lounge access (depending on the alliance) and elite lines.

Got it. Yes, I agree that would be an issue. Fortunately my reply was completely theoretical. But that would be an issue to consider.

For other elite benefits, it depends on what your company will reimburse. Most no longer cover airline lounge club dues but they might pay the fee for a single checked bag or more if your must transport samples and tools, etc.
