Hi, I am new to the forums, I have a quick question on the hyatt diamond upgrade policy.
It says diamond members are eligible for the best rooms available excluding suites
What happens when if I book a suite. Do i get upgraded to the next suite?

Not by entitlement, no, but a hotel may choose to put a Diamond in a preferred room in the category booked.

Will you also get the benefits of being a Diamond member (specifically free breakfast, suite upgrade) if you book a stay at a Hyatt hotel through an OTA?

In my experience Hyatt has delivered on elite benefits -- although not points or credit towards status - on third party bookings.

If the OTA site for the room is cheaper, you may want to try a file a Best Rate Guarantee with Hyatt, if successful, then you get both stay/point credits and an even better room rate, best of both worlds:D
