    Please don't flame me for this...but I'm confrused.[IMG]

My wife just starting flying paid international business class on United (and Lufthansa). So far her miles have been posting, and the EQM's have been 1.5x, OK, got that.
She now is a Premier member and is flying from ORD->GRU in paid business class.
So will her EQM's still be 1.5, and her redeemable now 1.25? Upon returning, she'll be a Premier, and then her Redeemable go up to 2x?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Paid business on LH (except discount biz in Z) earns 125% RDM. Combined with the Premier (2P) bonus, she would earn 125% + 25% = 150% RDM, as well as 150% EQM (including Z). Assuming she becomes Premier Exec (1P) after the flight, she will earn 125% + 100% = 225% RDM and still earn 150% EQM on future business class flights.

    HOLY SMOKES!
So her next flight will be ORD-->SFO-->SYD. According to Webflyer, that trip is 18,520 miles round trip. So you're saying a 1P flying paid business calls would net 41,062 miles?

    Yes. I flew ORD-NRT paid J which is 6,274 miles. I earned 6274 base + 6274 for 1P + 1569 for fare class, for a total of 14,117, which equals 6274*2.25.

EDIT: Mackieman, what's AFWD? and why do you have a picture of a tapir in your sig? ;)

The WebFlyer calculator is nice if you know all the rates. If you want one that calculates them for you based on class of service and elite level try mine: http://www.wandr.me/Tools/Advanced_Trip_Calculator.aspx.

    Code:
From	To	Carrier	Class Base Actual	EQMs	RDMs
    ORD	SFO	UA	C	1846	1846	2769	4154
    SFO	SYD	UA	C	7417	7417	11126	16688
    SYD	SFO	UA	C	7417	7417	11126	16688
    SFO	ORD	UA	C	1846	1846	2769	4154
     	 	 	Totals:	18526	18526	27790	41684

OK, so my wife's miles just posted, and they seem to be only giving her a 1.25 booking class bonus for booking J...is that right?
