First i have to apologize for my bad english Now my question... Imagine:i will pay a prepaid rate at Hyatt for a room with my girlfriend(she is noticed in the booking history as second room guest). Now i just can´t visit the hotel because of the work but my girlfriends wants to visit the hotel with her best friend... Will i get eligible nights for that? Greetings
The short answer is yes. Some elite GoldPassport members won't like you though, because you're getting credit without actually staying at the hotel (just like the many people who want to get elite status on an airplane without flying.)
She will still need to present a credit card upon check-in for any 'incidental' expenses, even though the room was pre-paid.
I dont want to get credit for something like this, but i paid the whole holiday, so why should this not be valued?! She got my credit card... so should there be problems ?
You should get credit for the stay as long your HGP # is in the reservation! There shouldn't be any problems, but is the credit card being used for check-in have your girlfriend's name on it, or yours? If it is in your name, there could be a problem, since she wouldn't be able to sign for the charges unless the card is in her name.
thanks, the most important things are for me the eligible nights... i hope that this will work, otherwise it´ll be frustrated to pay so much and just didnt recieve the nights for my status :-(
Just to check, you got the prepaid rate through Hyatt, right? Some outside rates, including price line, are not eligible.
Yes, a prepaid rate via Hyatt.com For Example: I paid the room and the hotel guests for the room are Mr. X and Ms. Y. Now Ms. Y go the check in and will check in, because mr. X will come later or Ms. Y travel with Ms. Z... Will i get eligible nights? I asked a similar question in a german forum and they always told me that i wont get eligible nights for that..
Technically, you're not entitled to stay credit / points since you were never a guest personally. However, if indeed she is successful in checking in by herself, you might. You don't say where the property is, if it's a US property chances are it will work, if it's an International property (especially where they ask to see your passport at check-in), it probably will not work.
