  1. Qantas vows two flights for one Virgin

QANTAS Domestic chief executive Lyell Strambi has thrown down the gauntlet to competitor Virgin Australia, warning that he will add two planes for each one the smaller airline adds to protect the flying kangaroo's patch.
Qantas and Virgin are locked in a domestic battle for corporate passengers as Virgin boosts its presence in the premium market and both airlines upgrade aircraft and facilities such as lounges.

I see excess capacity aand price wars coming. VA might also make more award seats available to use that capacity, especially to DL FFers so as to get some money from DL rather than flying empty seats. Good for us, but probably ultimately bad for those two airlines.
