Small to medium enterprises will soon be able to earn "Aquire" points from Qantas Airways through credit card, insurance, accounting, car hire and office supply transactions.

The airline on Monday unveiled the launch partners for the new loyalty program which will reward businesses separately from the frequent flyer points awarded to employees flying on Qantas tickets.

Westpac, GIO, Deloitte Private, QBE, Avis, Budget, Snap and Staples, Macquarie Leasing, Qantas Freight, Randstad, Regus, Secure Parking and Work Force HQ are all offering SMEs the opportunity to earn Aquire points.

"Our objective is to broaden the partner base to be highly relevant to SMEs," Qantas Loyalty chief executive Lesley Grant said on Monday. "We are also getting feedback from SMEs to understand which companies they would like to see in the partnership as well."

Aquire points can be converted on a one-for-one basis to Qantas frequent flyer points in the name of an individual to award employees or business owners with flights and hotels, flight upgrades and products from the Qantas store.

The full terms and conditions of the new program will be announced on March 31, but the airline is allowing pre-registration for all businesses with an ABN. To date, more than 25,000 businesses have pre-registered.
