Cool, thanks for posting. I will be very happy when AA post a profit.

You'd best not hold your breath. AA is a laggard to the industry virtually every financial metric, and we are heading into the weaker quarters on softened demand.

During the call they also mentioned retiring the 14 737-500s, 5 domestic config 757-200 (aka PMUA), 1 747-400, as well as additional 767-200s.

And during the Q&A the disdain for the 747-400s was brought up again, so as soon as a suitable replacement is found for them, they will be retiring all of them. But since the replacements are not really there (2016 was mentioned as when the A350's would start rolling in), it could be a while before United becomes 747-less.

Also no decision yet on replacement narrow body type. But they said that as soon as they make a decision, they would let us know ;)

Reading the Analysis and listening in...UACO is in a good financial position for 2012 and their synergies are working out very well thanks to the COurageous Leader Jeffrey W. Smisek.

I wonder if that was the one that was returned to the lessor recently.

Yes, United is in great (relative to the rest of the industry) shape to continuing to provide you changes you will like. Hopefully though towards middle of 2012 the focus will be less on integration and more on making things better from a customer standpoint.
