Do most U.S. carriers selling one-day lounge access require a same-day ticket on that airline as well?

    Thanks.....

I have previously used a DL one day pass on a AA mileage run. I had acquired the pass prior to travel so I bypassed whatever checks may have been in place if I bought it day of travel at the club. I think any carrier would be happy to take your $50 if they were not at capacity.

How about the VS Clubhouse at SFO when flying AS or another legacy? Can you pay to enter?

No, VX will want your VX boarding pass in order to sell you the access. Pity- the VS SFO Clubhouse is one of the nicest lounges in the US I've been to.

Well I guess you can do the full fare ticket and refund routine.
