I lost my apartment this weekend, and had an international trip planned this weekend. I was able to get an appointment for 11am Friday morning. Will I get my passport at the facility so I can catch either a late flight, or one early Saturday morning?

I've always received new pages same day. I believe they can produce a passport same day as well. An 11am appointment in NYC usually meant a 3-4pm pick-up. My 10am appointment in SAN had a 2pm pick-up.

This must be new since I last got my new passport (2007) and refilled (2010) because same-day service was available only at regional offices. For NYC, the regional office is in Philly, where I went in the morning to apply in person, went to lunch and by 2 pm the passport was ready.

Could you provide more info about this NYC service, because after 20 new pages were stitched in 3 years ago, I am again out, and will need a new passport by year end?

There is an office in lower Manhattan. I used it in 2009 for extra pages. I used the SAN office in 2011, shortly after it opened.

Thanks. After I posted, I did do a search and found that Manhattan office:
which is great because I had looked for such a service in NYC in 2007, after I suddenly lost my passport and had an int'l trip less than two weeks later, and was told that only regional offices could do a same-day service, so I went to Philly. That appears to have changed...for the better.

Just for the record, my appointment was for 11:00am, and even though I was told that it would be ready by 2:00pm, it was actually ready at 3:10pm.
