Pre-check opens at BWI with one big drawback

    To cut down on congestion in time for the holiday travel rush, BWI Thurgood Marshal Airport launched a pre-check program today that could 30 minutes off the wait to get through security.

    One big drawback, though, is that the two busiest airlines at BWI aren't taking part yet.

    U.S. citizens traveling domestically on Delta, United and US Airways flights or who are members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection programs are eligible for the TSA Pre-Check service, a joint venture between BWI and the Transportation Security Administration.

    Although on the same concouse D, they have a Priority Line that is always empty.... the signage is in extremely small print and it is next to the crew access entrance. Essentially, it helps you cut into the line, with only about 10 minutes to go, this can save a bunch of time during peak rush hour...
