I am AA Gold and will be traveling on US Air later this week.. Am I eligible for advanced/pre-boarding based on my status? It's all about the mad dash for overhead space for my carry-on.

I wouldn't call it "pre-boarding" per se, but you will very likely be able to board when other US Air elites board. Have your AA card handy at the boarding door.

I said "very likely" because there is always the chance that any given gate agent does what he/she pleases and ignores the affiliated carrier elites. I would just go to board when US elites are called; I can't see them sending you away.

I flew US Air last week as an AA Gold. They allow you to board with the equivalent level of the US Air elites. So yes, you do get to board earlier than if you had no status.
