Pop the bubbly! The Boston Herald reports that Boston's luxury Liberty Hotel was granted permission by the city to continue its luxurious check-in practice of offering guests a complimentary flute of Champagne.
Last month, Boston cops busted the hotel for offering bubbly, saying it violated a Massachusetts law that bans free liquor. The hotel had temporarily stopped offering an alcoholic beverage as a result.

But the Boston Licensing Board last week ruled in the hotel's favor by declaring that no violation had been found.

That means guests can again expect a glass of bubbly at check-in time.

The Beacon Hill hotel is one of the hotels marketed under Starwood's Luxury Collection.
