Title says it. Taking this flight as a continuation of our CX flight JFK to HKG. 701 continues on to BKK.

First Class award ticket but second leg is an Airbus 333 where the highest class is Business. Thrilled to see on ExpertFlyer that it has been changed to a 747 with First Class. Called AA to have them change that second leg to First Class and they informed me that it's an error - still a 333. Cathay website confirms this.

    What gives???

ExpertFlyer's Flight Availability, Flight Details, and Seat Map results all show the flight as an A333. Please double check your search.

Yes, the flight you are looking at is for 1/20, yet the title of your post has the date as 1/15.

The day in your screenshot is different from the date in your thread title. That might have something to do with it.

It is loaded in the timetable as an EQV so it is entirely possible that the aircraft used on the 15th is different from that on the 20th.

So sorry everyone. I'm really beginning to scare myself. Next birthday is 65 and I fear it's all going downhill. :(

And thanks for your answers. And what does EQV mean, Seth?

EQV is the code airlines load into the timetable systems which means Equipment Varies. It meant they can use different aircraft types on different days, even though the timetables generally are represented a week at a time.

CX is notorious for last minute aircraft swaps, especially on regional routes. Meaning even if you had secured F on the short hop to BKK, there is no guarantee you'd be on an a/c configured with F on that flight the day you fly. Still plenty of time between now and January for CX to shuffle her a/c deployments.
