I know many, myself included, love pizza in its various forms! :) We've talked about going to see Philadelphia anyway, which we've never done. Might be something different to see!
    Has anyone visited?

There better be a whole wing dedicated to the Chicago Deep dish pie! :)

I'll be in Philadelphia next week or two, so I'll let you know about the deep dish pizza.

I;ve heard a bit about it due to Twitter. It's supposed to be pretty good. I'll go on my next trip to Philly, just not sure when that will be.

You will need to take a taxi there as not in center city downtown area - it just opened in the back of their pizza shop

Does the St. Louis-style pie make another underdog appearance?

As promised, I went to the restaurant, Pizza Brain. I didn't have a car, so I took the Market Frankford Line to Girard station and walked towards north for about ten short blocks on Frankford avenue. If you are not familiar with the area, take the taxi from the Girard station. It is located in an up and coming neighborhood (Fishtown), but you have to act like a local when walking down on Frankford avenue. I ordered a whole pie named Jane; here's the link to their menu: http://www.pizzabrain.org/PizzaBrain-10PieMenu.pdf
I'm not a pizza connoisseur, but It was fantastic! A thin crust with crispy bottom, yet once in my mouth, chewy dough with sweet and tangy tomato sauce made it all good. It took about an hour to get there, but totally worth it. Sorry Sobore, I didn't find a wing dedicated to Deep Dish pie.
