I heard the audio clip at about 6am this morning on the radio and where flight deck radio transmissions, even in an emergency, are in a relatively calm voice, you could tell the F/O in this case was a bit "worried". But my question is why would it be a pax saying the 'code word" and not a f/a?

Upon further details released, it was an RJ with only one f/a so when the Captain went to go potty, the f/a was in the flight deck as the regs require two in the flight deck at all times while airborne so no f/a in the cabin
